The quality of double-sided tape on the market varies, so how can we check to see if it is of good quality? Regarding this issue, relevant persons have given the following suggestions:
1.Check whether the cut end surface of the double-sided tape is straight and the rewinding is consistent.
If the slitting end faces of the double-sided tape on the roll are not uniform, it will not only affect the registration during processing, but also cause waste due to changes in the die cutting position; the inconsistent tension during rewinding will cause changes in the paper force during printing , Uneven tension will also cause print quality problems.
2. Check whether the edges of the double-sided tape are stuck and whether the backing paper is leaking silicon.
The edges of the double-sided tape are stuck or silicone oil is missing from some areas on the backing paper, which will cause the paper to break during waste discharge during processing, which can not produce normally. Therefore, before processing, take a piece of self-adhesive material about 1 meter long and peel it by hand to see if there are any parts that cannot be peeled off smoothly and uniformly at the edges or other parts. Normally, the adhesion of the edges of the top and bottom papers occurs on a slit roll of the entire roll of self-adhesive material, and it usually only occurs at the outer layer of 7 to 10 meters. Therefore, the slit roll is encountered. The edges of the double-sided tape are sticky. Don't immediately assert that the entire roll of paper has the problem.
3.Check whether the double-sided tape has burrs
The edge of the roll double-sided tape is smooth and undamaged, which is the basis for ensuring the quality of the double-sided tape. Therefore, before processing, you must carefully check whether the cut edge of the roll double-sided tape has burrs, and whether it is damaged due to improper storage and transportation. , And roll the double-sided tape down 4-5 times, and carefully check the slitting edge.
4.Check for cracks on double-sided tape
When the double-sided tape is slit, if the slitting cutter is not adjusted properly or the blade is not sharp enough, cracks will appear on the face or backing paper of the double-sided tape, and the fibers pulled out from the cracks will be stuck by the adhesive. The occurrence of cracks may be continuous or random, and may occur on one side or both sides of the double-sided tape of the roll. Therefore, before the double-sided tape is machined, you must carefully check the backing paper and the surface. Whether there are small cracks in the paper.
